F. Schumacher & Co. is a 115 year old, venerable fabric and wall covering company. Images & Details, Inc. (I&D) was charged with the mission of reinvigorating the brand. New product designs, ad campaign and brand extensions provided us the opportunity to dust off the image. I&D created a multi-layered p.r. and marketing outreach program to raise their profile within the design community and generate buzz within the lifestyle media.
- Introduced new product at customized one-on-one lunches in the design studio
- Innovated seasonal press days at the D&D building in New York
- Utilized advertising dollars with Southern Accents for panel lecture with notables in industry
- Orchestrated co-op window displays with Gracious Home and Scully & Scully in New York City
- Attracted the ‘in’ crowd of designers by creating “Mad for Matelassé” event highlighting company’s selection of traditional matelassé in unconventional designs by leading designers of different disciplines
- Highlighted new cork wall coverings in a feature trend pitch to luxury and lifestyle publications, securing placements in the New York Times, Robb Report and House & Garden
- Arranged speaking engagement with Mayer Rus, the tasty tastemaker of House & Garden, to an audience of 75 top designers
- Sponsored the 50th Anniversary of The Winter Antiques Show
- Enlarged partnership with charitable groups, including Alpha Workshops and Design Cares
- Developed a book party for artist Chuck Fischer with Albert Hadley delivering the keynote introduction
- Invited designers to create one-of-a-kind tables for “Dining by Design” events for five years consecutively
- Created special table for Robert Rufino of Tiffany & Co. and the International Fine Art Dealers gala event
- Launched the first Decorator’s Walk Collection under F. Schumacher The Roderick Shade Collection for Decorator’s Walk - securing story in Architectural Digest and Metropolitan Home (Top 100 issue)
- Elevated awareness of F. Schumacher as a resource for furnishings to key media outlets, leading to a cover story with House & Garden.
I&D’s efforts have helped to increase sales in key classifications of product promoted and featured editorially. There are over fifteen new interior design clients buying from the company. Editorials now appear consistently in leading consumer home and lifestyle publications. We have created long-standing relationships with the major players in the home design and interiors industry, as well as solid new partnerships for F. Schumacher.
